Six-generation family business
Van der Pigge had four daughters. Anna, the eldest, married Joannes van Os. Anton, the son of Anna and Joannes, took over the business from his father. During the turbulent 1920s, it was Anton who resisted V&D’s expansionist drive and didn’t sell his building. Anton’s son Jan then took over from his father in 1976. Everything remained unchanged for a long time until Menno and his wife Astrid took over the business in 1993 and decided to change course, focusing more on healthy herbs and supplements. Sadly, Menno passed away young. After a turbulent period, his wife Astrid and daughter Sophie took over the business, and it remains that way today. The sixth generation!

Our therapists are thoroughly trained in various disciplines of naturopathy, acupuncture, and menopausal symptoms. They are also skilled in interpreting additional diagnostics such as specialized intestinal examinations or blood tests to get to the root of the problem.

Our range includes purely natural cosmetics, natural muscle and joint care, herbal remedies, and nutritional supplements. We strive to minimize the use of additives and animal ingredients.

Did you know that we employ three naturopathic therapists and that our staff must have completed at least one pharmacy assistant qualification? We participate in numerous continuing education programs to keep our historical and modern knowledge as up-to-date as possible. Historical, because we’ve passed our knowledge down through generations in the pharmacy. We are known for our comprehensive and thorough advice.
